Pastor Ben was born in St. Louis, Missouri and later attended the University of Redlands California and majored in Mathematics. Ben moved to Charleston in 1994 and came to Crosstowne in its early stages when it was called Westside Gathering. Ben married his high school sweetheart, Kandy (she was a cheerleader and he was a football player) and together they have three sons. Ben and Kandy have been married for over thirty-five years and work as a great team.

Pastor Alan is originally from Cuba… Cuba, Missouri that is. Alan attended Free Will Baptist Bible College. After that, he served as a youth pastor and then joined the US Air Force where he worked in Air Transportation for over twenty years. Even though he was full time Air Force, ministry was still very important to him. He continued to work as a youth pastor for over six years, and served as a Men’s Minister over seas. He retired here in Charleston in 2006 as a Master Sargent. He is married to the love of his life, Susan, and they have three children.

Growing up in Charlotte, Ricky was deeply involved in sports and not only enjoyed it but found he had an affinity for it. However, his passions switched gears after coming to Charleston to attend CSU. In 2005, Ricky began to feel music pull strong at his heart and God began to open up many doors. From playing at churches to touring with his band Meet the Sky, Ricky finds himself in constant communication with the language of music and looks forward to trying to add something to its beautiful melody. Ricky married the love of his life, Kelly, on April 2nd 2011 and was ordained at Crosstowne on Nov. 20, 2011.

Kandy is originally from San Bernadino, California and went to the University Of California Riverside. She met her husband, Ben, in high school and they got married her junior year of college. She worked for the Riverside Social Services department for four years and then home schooled their three sons for eight years. Kandy has worked at Crosstowne since 2000.
Mandy is originally from St. Petersburg, FL. She attended Southeastern Bible School after high school for two years and studied Youth Ministries and Communication. She then moved to Charleston in 1997 and attended Crosstowne the first Sunday she arrived and has been involved ever since. She finished her studies at Southern Wesleyan University and received her Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She has a crazy cute dog named Henry who she spoils daily.
